I spent weeks researching and putting together this episode to unpack the media narratives, criminal accusations, and headlines that shaped how many Americans view Trump. I thought this would spark thoughtful conversation with friends. Instead, I got dismissive memes, silence, and shallow snark. It’s forced me to question not only what I believed, but the relationships I thought were grounded in mutual respect.
I created The Mirror—a podcast and discussion group—as an olive branch to reach my leftist friends, hoping to appeal to their reason and shared belief in justice.
