STBX invited us over for soup. Roommate was talking about grief counseling. Mentioned that two of her grief consultations were due to deportations, while giving me a look. STBX gave me a fearful side glance as well. My visceral thought: these are not my people. They think that I am evil for believing in borders and reasonable screening criteria for immigration. They have been amped-up on Renee Good, Minneapolis agit-prop. I felt like leaving immediately.
