so-called progressive DSA socialist movement to "abolish rent" in typical Bolsheviks regressive fashion that is well over 100 yrs old... based on the insidious idea that everyone has the entitled right to a free place to live, they can refuse to pay rent to a landlord regardless of the legal terms that the tenant agreed to. since the landlord is "evil" oppressor in typical marxist ideology, the "good" oppressed tenant has no agency or responsibility to the rental agreement. accordingly, the tenant has innate right to take ownership (i.e. steal) property for their personal use. any legal and/or physical resistance by landlord should be responded through shaming and terrorist tactics towards the landlord and their respective families...
Great /sad to hear how Marx’s supposed surplus value theory was entirely debunked and dascapital was an academic/practical flop, but Lenin dug up all his earlier manuscripts and the state run pseudo scholarship turned to Marx’s “alienation” theory-gramsci, critical theory et all.
