US supreme court just banned a Colorado law that disallowed alternative counseling options to gender affirmation policy. the vote was 8-1 after textbook determination as a direct violation of the first amendment through viewpoint discrimination by the state. as expected far leftist judge Ketanji Jackson dissented.... in addition to Colorado, this will reverse similar bans in: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington
My daughter had the musician Madilyn Mei on repeat for the better part of 2024/25. Madilyn - now Elio - just came out as he/they. Mei has such a large fandom and I fear how they will be affected by this.
